Buy to Let in Dubai

An ex-Dubai expat passing through en route back home for Christmas, took the opportunity to check out his soon-to-be-delivered Al Fujan villa, just off the Emirates Road, the Abu Dhabi side of Dubai. He was a little concerned about rental opportunities given so many properties will be coming on line in 2010. The consensus at dinner was that he should be okay. Rental yields are still high here - certainly compared to the UK, and tax free of course - and he is definitely the right side of town.

Abu Dhabi rentals are so much higher and there are now 5 lanes solid of commuter traffic heading to AD from Dubai every week day so certainly alot of people wanting to live in Dubai and work in Abu Dhabi.

What we really need is a high speed train service connecting the Emirates of course but then if I was setting policy for Abu Dhabi, and protecting financial/property interests there, I'm not sure I'd go for that option either. There is so much culturally going in Abu Dhabi though, it would make what the city has to offer alot more accessible. Not 2010 maybe, but you never know, hopefully the project is on somebody's desk somewhere, for consideration.
